Pender Island Residence

This 2,500-square-foot, modern-style home on Pender Island provided a great seismic challenge. The desired open concept allowed for little structure to support lateral loads in one direction. The team was able to hide a steel momentframe within the home, maintaining the architectural intent while meeting building code requirements.
