  • Principal
    P.Eng

Kurt’s favourite aspect of WHM is its diversity. Not just culturally, but in terms of skills that members bring to the table. Off the clock, he enjoys playing basketball, practicing Brazilian ju-jitsu, and exploring BC with his wife Jannelle and daughter Luna. “Vancouver is one of the only cities where you can ski, golf and kayak on the same day, and while I have yet to do all three, I’m glad I have the option!”

  • Structural Engineer
    EIT

A previous co-op intern, Stephen returns to join the WHM team as he pursues his P.Eng. “It’s a very collaborative atmosphere, and everyone is always open to provide insights,” he says. Born and raised in BC, Stephen enjoys the province's climate despite the excessive rain. He also appreciates that there are great sports venues like Rogers Arena and BC Place here. When not working, Stephen likes to hit the gym, listen to music, and go camping and fishing.

Jordan’s favourite thing about working at WHM is its open-door policy, which he says promotes more effective communication and project management, opportunities to learn from one another, and of course — fun! Outside of the office, Jordan is a figure-skating coach, and also enjoys running, cycling and cooking. Unlike many, he loves ALL aspects of the Vancouver weather. “That includes the rain,” he says. “I lived in California for a year and cannot tolerate the heat!”

  • Proposal and Marketing Coordinator

The WHM focus on maintaining a positive work-life balance is one of the major reasons why Jules has embraced her role at WHM. Originally from the Philippines, Jules moved to Australia in 2013 and Vancouver in 2015 and had to adjust to the rainy weather, but quickly fell in love with the natural beauty. “I love that we’re so close to mountains and lakes and there are plenty of community activities to do all year round.”
